Trustee Report April 2024
Work on 8042 continues on a regular basis. We have been progressing in the rebuild of interior walls of the car and overhaul the heaters and associated wiring.
After Keith Bray wrapped his contract work we started at the center doors and are working our way to the rear of the car to renew wiring and walls. The wall framing close to the center doors was found to be rotted from the 25 plus years that the car spent stored outdoors with various levels of protection from the weather.
Pictured here are two of the new inner frames constructed to replace the rotted members removed in the process. We are including additional framing to replace anchoring for the center door pocket framing. Also pictured here are interior window guards which are being refinished by weekly volunteer Nevin.

The bride arrives!
It rained like crazy! April 11 the rain in our neighborhood was relentless!
In the morning I picked Don Bailey up at the airport as he arrived to attend the wedding. The photo here shows the extent of the flooding at the North Main Street crossing that we encountered on return from dinner around 9pm. The TARR lighthouse seen at the left side of the photo.
