What happened in July...
I didn't get a chance to create a report for July as the family and I were incommunicado somewhere in the periphery of the Allegheny National forest in the Wilds of Pennsylvania.
On July 1 I found Kevin and Sarah hard at work with our new auger truck as construction started on the new platform just inbound from Redman Wye with the "planting" of a new wooden pole to replace the a steel pole located in the boarding area of the new stop.
July 2, I found that the Terrible Trolley had been lowered to the floor so that work could commence installing the plywood flooring inside the car.
July 5 we treated Carl Wright to an Op4Hr go around using our venerable New Orleans 832.
Work was underway on the Ellis platform following the moving of the steel pole.
As a long time aficionado of Phila Suburban, member Tom Black from Florida really enjoyed the Op4Hr opportunity on Red Arrow 14
Dan applied final grading to the area around the East/North County Home siding switch.
Jack Jost with his love of Kennywood got some old ads together with the help of his compadres. We will try to incorporate into appropriate spaces in the fleet.
Line crew working to install cables for the Nachod signal system for the McClane end of the line.
Michael has done extensive welding repair to the gutters and roof line areas of 1713.
1713 (The Terrible Trolley) floor panels in place.
Reiner Guinasao from Toronto enjoyed an Op4Hr spin on 1711.
Demolition of the former Gift Shop area commenced at the end of July, Plans are to raise the ceiling and apply insulation capped by corrugated metal.
